Aus Post

Post by The Renegade »

Hey Guys,
Just wondering if anyones had any experience with Aus Post loosing a package?
I'm not sure what I'm to do, I will be going to see them tomorrow but I'd like to go armed with a bit of info if possible.

the problem with loosing a package is that they are not GPS enabled, so the ppl you talk to dont know ANYTHING about it, its possibly been put on the wrong truck and sent left not right, so my guess is someone on the other and will notice a package not ment to be there and either return it to the starting post office of maybe it might see a bit of austalia first, so dont spoil its fun ride around Australia let it see this beautiful country side of ours. hopefully it will find its way to its new home.

back on the subject, there in a trillion ppl that work for the post and the ppl you speak to might not be able to do anything about it, or know anything about it.

Aus Post is like a rubix cube, you never win!

50/50 chance on that one.
the only aus post parcel that can be tracked are those that are sent Express Post, you retain a sticker with the consignment # on it. still they can't always find it

another option is to have it sent Registered Post, which requires a signature on delivery. at least then if it hasn't been signed for you know it never made it but still no way of tracking it.

courier/freight companies FTW
Fastway, TNT etc
I understand the need for conformity. Without a concise set of rules to follow we would probably all have to resort to common sense.

When i use Aust post i always register post it , that way the reciever has to sign for it ... for the extra $2 odd it is well worth it ...

It should rock up eventually , but it will depend wether one of the workers knows what it was , and wether they decided if they liked it better .. One would hope this hasn't happened , but it does ! !

Good luck , hope you get it sorted ..

cheers P

I guess it was like some of you guys said, just got put on the wrong truck at some point and had to be taken back to the right place. Just took bloody ages to get there.

Thanx for the help guys.
