Met Alad last night, good young bloke, pretty keen, gave him the low down on some of the trouble makers on here like Tass so he knows who to watch for. His first turbo car so be good to him and plenty of advice. Welcome aboard.

welcome aboard man!

Hope you enjoy the fun your little car will bring, just remember these times when everything fails... We all have bad days with these cars and I'm sure glens told you about many of them. If your having problems, seach is your best friend to find why its happening.

hope to see some pic soon. and good luck!

Thanks all

Your ET was actually THE one that got me started on ET's Ash.
It's all your fault :P but I'm glad it happened (The Mrs wasn't until I took her for a drive in it)

Update: Turbo

Post by King_Of_KingSSS »

Update:

Have got my hands on a nice little Garrett version of the standard water cooled one (T02?) got it from a "wreckers" VERY private person who I was lucky enough to be allowed to go to (he's rad...... c'mon he HAS to be RAD, he has a frigging fireengine for sale)

Saw it ages ago when I didn't have the ET and was going to turbo my SSS and shrugged it off when I saw it cause it was too small for that.

Went back and had a look and I was SO excited when I saw it cause out of all the turbos made it happened to be THE exact one I wanted.

Bought it for $30 (told him it was ROOTED)

Took it to 2 of my mates that know about turbos.

They said it is in near PERFECT condition (one said it has less shaft play then the one he has in his car (not an ET))

I was ever so happy. :)

Will be putting it in maybe tomorrow.

Also got myself a nice little Bosche BOV (you all know them)

Will be putting that on in the next few days and leaving it for atleast rego (but probably all the time, cause I prefer the sound of recirc BOV's and less attention)

Will keep updating my thread whenever I do something worthy of a post (most things, just not little stupid stuff like replacing screws, ETC)

and here i was thinking car forums were filled with young four eyed live at home WOW playing online tough talking wimps with Honda Civics fitted with a volts gauges and monster tacho's.

turns out it's just a bunch of senile old cretins reminiscing about the days they used to drag their model T's down the dirt streets of the big smoke to impress all the young dolls and how they used to cop a feel at the cinema watching Laurel and Hardy moving picture shows.
