Todds $1 EXA... YES $1......
HEy all, long time lurker and fate played in my favour yesterday.
Helped a broken down Exa 6 years ago, talked about times spent in my own Exa when I was about 19.
Told him if he ever wanted to part with it let me know. Told me no, owned it since new and was never to part with it.
Fast forward 6 years and I long gave up on owning a ET Pulsar (I always settled for exas) and I spoke to Tim, now 50 something and decided to buy a new car.
Long story short, he remembered my efforts to assist him and always wanting another ET....Offered it to me for $1.
Bought from Lakemba Nissan 1985! Thats right, 1 owner.
517,000KM
ORIGIONAL HUBCAPS!!!!!!!!!!!(They did delivery KM only and were removed and garaged!!!!!)
Will upload pics soon.
Question is guys do I
A>Restore this near 100% origional un molestered beauty
B>Go 80s period minor mods, (exhaust old school cooler and piping with oldest guage set I can find)
C>Bathurst Mockup.
Pics are coming.

I say keep it stock! If its factory standard.
You font see many standards ones around anymore.
Bit you get more fun out of a modded one.

A bit about what I do in my spare time.
Built a N12 manifold and I have a jig so I did consider making one for mine and running my spare S14 T28.
This is on a mates customer car, what a weapon this is turning into.....
Anyways heres my newest addition to the family.
Interior is soo nice shame drivers seats a bit worn but the rest is immac, the rear seat never had anyone sit on it before it had a custom cover fitted, the fronts had them too but I had to remove n have a look!
This put a smile on my face, Tim forgot he had these!
All Gauges and lights work! Theres the odometer reading too!
Untouched
25 years of not being washed!!
Bit of this.
Makes it like this.
Clean.
Bit of clay bar and polish treatment, I dont want to hit it with the buff, I will do what I can as it is. Sadly its been keyed so will need a respray to bring it back 100%

BY all means hop it up with ur coolers and engine hi-po shit but IMHO keep it all stock appearing on the outside.
Coolers and stuff hanging out from the front bumpers reminds me of a dogs tongue hanging out on a hot day!! Looks so dumb!
Clusters of old school guages hanging off the dash circa 1980's are best left where they came from..... in the 80's!!!
Full stealth mode ftw! Even those strange old mags look period and so cool.
Shame to visually rape such a nice example of an unmolested EXA I reckon unless you go the whole nine yards with a fullhouse Gibson style replica or just leave it box stock and watch it appreciate.
Either way, nice score and best of luck with it.
Cheers

Thanks for the kind words guys, Tim called to ask if I want the ORIGIONAL RADIO!!!!!!!!! Yep this things staying stock as a rock!..
Only wanted to do the 80 guage thing as its a 80 car, nothing shits me more than seeing a Early holden with late model suercheap auto gauges!!!!!
Needs an exhaust as its rusted out but Ill leave it at that. Maybe a prarie brake upgrade on front at most.
Car will remain 100% stock on outside asides from tinted woindows and a 2.5in dumpy out the back.
Interior will be stock.
Engine will be freshened up at most, maybe cold air intake using factory airbox and will keep standard dump pipe and run 2.5 in exhaust with flex join, resonator and a simple muffler at back.
It looks a bit sader in real life but Ill respray it once I finish painting my 180sx.
