yeah, we seem to put effort into AFM relocation and then add all the length back with the IC installation. Just seems odd.

i know, i will be making the IC piping as short as possible on my ET, as its already Laggy as hell.

when facing the compressor housing down, is it just a matter of taking the turbo apart and re bolting it up that way? its not a difficult job or anything is it?

by the way Callumgw, what kinda N12 do you own? i cant remember seeing yours in the members intro's thread.

from what I understand you should just rotate the compressor housing by loosening the big circlip and turning it.

I haven't put up a intro thread, but I will one day. Probably when i start the rebuild which should be in a couple of months. But I have a silver over black exa that I use for motorkhana, hillclimbs and sprints. Imight try autocross now that Exasperated has suggested it'd do alright....
well I did all this before the head went, hence the rebuild. Good thing this isn't my daily driver, thats the MR2.

Ok guys heres the final stages of the rebuild. I had it all back together 100% yesterday and took it out for a quick run around the block. It is much better than it was before. She breaths alot more better now goes to 6500rpm with no hesitation and feel strong to this point. It really need a good tune though as its running super rich. I have wound the mallpassi up to about 38psi Base. This is just to make sure i dont melt a pistion before i get the chance to have it tuned.

One thing though is Lag, and i mean LAG!!! Boost starts to build at about 3500 and hit full boost at 4000. Hopefully once the tune is done we can improve it a bit, but boy its still fun.

Heres some more pics.
All painted and ready to install. Tried to go with a stealthy/sleeper look:

Needed to hardwire the TPS plug as the elbow at the trottlebody stopped me from using the old plug.

The last part to fabricate with the intake pipe:
