Well. Its pritty much all togetha. The radiator hose that goes under the airflow meter has burst though and my oil in feed is leaking pritty badly. Ive also had another problem. I have started the car a couple of times. But wheva i turn it of i cant start it bk up again. And it seems to be running on 3.5 cylinders. So 2moro im going 2 try a different ingnition coil and see what that does. But yeah something dosnt seem right.

Or the transistor. I had one go a bit funny like that ages ago, turned out to be crud in the plug creating a bad electrical connection.

That my friend is on the list of things to do. Still have 2 find were the water is leaking out of back of engine, replace that radiator hose, and get my actuator hooked up, and also modify my onnet so it will shut. THen i can actualy go 4 a drive in it.SammyET wrote:

Its running now. But it dosnt seem to be running right. Sounds lyk a pistion isnt fully combusting. But i reved it up 2 6500 didnt seem to have a problem with it. Turbo was happily spooling away. 1problem i need help with is the oil into turbo feed is leaking how do i fix this. Its screwd in as far as it can go. Oh and here are a few pics.
Yes intercooler is sitting funny. The bumper support is bent. Getting a newer 1 of mike.
And the area i weilded up. I got lazy and now its gotta a wire running straight through it.
Injoy.

Dude, did you say the water is leaking from the back of the engine?
That's where mine was leaking, it was the welsh plug just underneath the oil filter. A right bastard to get to if you wanna see it or fix it. So I did it when the engine was out.....

so people remove the air flow meters all together?
that metal box isn't needed at all?
what about all the wires that go into it? do they not matter?
mine isn't inter cooled but the AFM is sitting in front of the turbo just behind the POD filter. just remove it????

Rohan - you can only ditch it when you have after market engine management. If you remove it with the stocko ECU him no worky.
Ya just tauck the wired into a safe place. Or, if you are bitter, twisted & angry like me, you wrap it around the drive shaft and drive off...... just for laughs

yeh thats probably the main reason to get a microtech, fark off the afm restriction unit ... panda gained 3 psi by taking it off after installing his microtech... and it is the culprit of most problems with the e15t
