OK guys...
Exa starts and runs...
Although its a bit rough.... And there is a knocking noise from the engine, i think it has something to do with oil pressure. Is there any way to blow the oil journals clean(without pullin git apart)
I ahve been told to run deisel through it...
any ideas
Thanks
Andrew

Ahhh ...... M8, c'mon now.......what does your heart say here? I mean really! If the engine is knocking, its fucked. Simple as that.
No snake oil or secret formula run thru the engine will wake it up. Its not that simple.
Pull it out and fix it. Do it right the first time.

OK then...
Um i put soem deisel into engine oil, and then let it run for a bit. Turned it off left it for a bit and then back on... When i turned it on it was fine!
I then drove down the street and back, changed the oil and it came back again...
It ahs me stumped... I cant see it been the engine, as it worked fine, then didnt... But hey i may be wrong!
I i find it is the engine... well i will take the whole car to the wreaker...not worth rebuilding!
Thanks Guys
Andrew

haha GOLD!tassuperkart wrote:Hahahaha NOS is the latest buzzword for Nitrous Oxide Injection.
However, NOS is a tradename for a Nitrous system manufacturer and for some reason the NOS has caught on as the term for Nitrous oxide injection.

I understand the need for conformity. Without a concise set of rules to follow we would probably all have to resort to common sense.

It's not so much an oil cooler as it is a heat exchanger.
Sure it will remove heat from the oil, but it also helps warm the oil up to operating temp as the water heats up when you 1st start your car on a cold morning.

so living up in the NT... where cold is considered 20 degrees, it would still need it?
i ask cos, i needed to get the radiator hoses, when i got them they cost me $45 each! I dont wana have to try and find a place that sell the hose that goes from the intake manifold to the oil cooler, and pay for it!
Cheers guys
