Hey fellas!..It's been quite sometime since Ive been on here..As most of you know I like to change my cars...My last update on here I had a manual Vu S ute..Now I've got a nice new daily & a project ive been working on over the last few months..
The daily is a Vu ss ute..Auto as i wanted a nice cruisy car...It's lowered on 20" wheels & its basically standard!..
The project ive been working on is a widebody rb20 s13..
The S13 was absolutely rooted when I got it!..No rego or anything..So i decided to put a full kit on it & widebody it whilst i was at it..Replaced the whole interior with new carpet & plastics..Rewired up lights etc..got it all regod & the good thing is!..It's all mod plated for the rb20!...

I actually like S13's
That bodykit looks ok actually except for one glaring thing which makes it look cheap and ruins it.
Those doors are screaming for lower filler panels and relocating the fuel flap to fill that silly recess.
To be honest, i doubt that having it plated for a small RB would amount to much at all.
How come its got a 20 innit Baz?? Seems a lot of effort for nothing to me!!!!

Nothing wrong at all with a six shooter since I have 2 of them Damo, but Im just having issues with the removal of a proven and powerful 2 litre 4 banger for another equally proven 2 litre straight six.
They both produce around the same power when tuned up. So..... benefits???
If it were a 25 or bigger, id get it for sure but same capacity just a bigger and more complicated package???
Sorry, i just dont get that. Just seems modification for modifications sake is all.
However, there is a really cool element about this car that is hard to describe/pinpoint!!! I know I just like it.

Just a thumbs up to the potential of the RB's over the SR's in response to ETone's post. As you say, there would be no real advantage going down the RB20 over the SR, unless you want the sweet sweeet RB 8500rpm sound track instead of the SR 7000rpm timing chain racket!
I would only do it if I had a spare RB20 lying around intending to do the 25/26/30 addition down the track.

Hmmm seems we only care about sound??
Did we forget about the weight advantage of an SR??
And yes Damo you are right you can rev a Rb20 harder
but you dont have to with the SR.
Lag is a big problem with the RB20s and lack of torques
Dont get me wrong i love RB's (i own a time attack built R32 with a Rb25) but after doing many many builds on both the SR's seem to do it easier. (and yes i agree they sound like bum)
unless you do the primera head conversion SR20vet 10000rpm sounds pretty good i reckon
