Panda's Photo of the week
Panda's Photo of the week
Hey guys backs again as you all know, now cant really call it motorsport photo of the week as I dont do a lot of that anymore(wanting to get back into it though) Here are some samples of what i have been upto since I left lol I actually sold the ET parts to pay for a New camera nothing special but payed for the Good glass. Running a Canon 400D with battery grip and an L series 70-200 F4.0 glass takes some freakin awesome shots now the glass makes all the Difference lens cost more than the Camera. I also go to try a $7500 300mm 2.8 prime on my camera as well but was too in awe to take anything decent lol
taking photos of stationary cars
Shooting the local AFL league for the Football record( gotta love it when your photo is front page EVERY week lol)
Watching Fireworks(my First effort )
Walking up mountains( stupid STUPID boy)
Look I can ,make evan look fast
pity facebook killed this shot
Some Drift meets
Some Enduro's and Grasstrack racing
and a whole heap of riding and shooting MTB

Oh yeh my motorsport photos have jumped light years ahead with a swap of the stock lens for the L glass.Android 360 wrote:gotta love the epic lenses they make a massive difference.
I should also note I dont use photoshop nor paintshop pro to adjust my pics, I may lighten them or slightly sharpen them but I dont add effects, not cos i think its cheating its just i dont know how to roflmao Spose it makes me work harder to do trick stuff and learn the camera workings more.
Here an example of zoom brst which I try every now and again
Moar fireworks
No cropping straight from camera pretty much

Air liek that is easy if you drive the Batmobile aka the CSL oh yeh. I got some good shots of the 2002turbo lifting wheels(might leave that to another thread at a later date) as well but alas I took neither of them

Nice pics Panda, I especially like the fireworks ones. I've really taken a liking to photography since being oversea's, only problem is sometimes I get tired of being behind a camera all the time... but the again I don't want to miss that awesome shot haha! I hope you don't mind if I share a couple of my favourites.

Very Awesome shots mate Im not good at those kinda shots, I go a little technically overboard I find and ruin my own shots. Its just the way i am born to be a technician meh What kind agear you using for thsoe shots?
I have to agree though you wanna watch things live BUT you dont want to miss the most awesome shot ever. Life through a viewfinder can get a little annoying at time.

Thanks. Yeah I know what you mean, I always found myself trying to centre objects keep everything parrallell and even. So I've been starting to work on shooting a better composition.
Gear... a Panasonic TZ15 and a tiny tripod. I've done alot of practicing with the differant scene modes. I found origonally the waterfall was coming out too hard, so I set it on Portrait mode which slowed the shutter down enough to give the softer water.
That pic would have to be my favourite.

I owuld have to say the Cross on the mountain is mine. I take it the camera has a fairly wide angle(28mm at least ) on it cos you can start to see the lens distortion(not that most would notice it).
Well Im happy you posted these cos Im looking at getting a point and shoot from panasonic (after HD video recording). With a PaS camera you get the advantage of fantastic Depth of field for landscape shots. Im not quite as lucky I have to do all the work myself atm lol I want to do more landscape but really need to pick up a 10-22 lens meh $$$
