battery going flat

Post by rattie »

hey guys, i'm having trouble with my E15t motor and the battery going flat.i havnt been driving it as much as i have a daily i drive. its only started to do this awhile back.
but if i hook the battery up in 24hrs its flat. even after taking it for a drive.
ive replaced the starter motor, .and i even got a brand new battery, and yet it still goes flat.
any ideas on what it mite be would help me alot, cheers

It's not gonna be your starter's fault, and it won't be the battery's fault for dying that quick unless it's really shot. But you know that now...

You need a multimeter. With the ignition off, pull out one fuse at a time and see if you can measure any amps going through each circuit. For your battery to be going that flat, it's going to be something like half an amp... if you don't have a multimeter (you can get em for like $20), a test light might do.

Once you know which circuit is responsible, you need to put your brain in gear to figure out how to further narrow it down...

Post back when you know which circuit it is for suggestions.
