I use mobil S, rather thn mobile 1, just acheaper. And also the repco brand oil is mobil, so they have a mobil s equivilent thats a bit cheaper again, but is the same stuff.
Oil is important, worth getting it right. When Shell helix first came out a few (~15!) years ago I ran it in the starion (oil cooled turbo). Fresh oil, after one day driving to work and the pressure dropped. This was with turbo rated stuff!, other oils I was using at the time didn't do this (valvoline and Mobil), so I stopped using shell.

Re: oil
yup thats the stuff i have used and have made other people use, its a German brand and i love it after every service replacing the oil you can really feel the difference with it, its a very smooth oil.NismoBoi wrote:im running titan Fuchs 10w30 fully synthetic,and running k&n gold oil filter had no probs and id recomend it to any 1,but i always check my oil before i drive my beast
oil
yeah wen i had my head done i thought id give it a try,and no consumption issues,runs better at start up,and a lot smoother,but wen i do my stroker build ill be running redline,my mates boss swears by it,so he said he could do me a special deal on it.
How cute!Is that a V8?
oil i use
Penrite HPR30. It seems good. Lasts a couple of track days - so thats good.
Oil pressure stays pretty stable as the oil is heated up (and overheated sometimes)
I don't use synthetic, had a bad experience, plus engine destoys it too quickly on the track, its expensive shit.
@ 34.99 for 5L of HPR30 -> its reasonably priced too.
Darren.
