Thanks m8! This was a very successful paint job... I love the results! :D

Well, my N12 "Astra" tail lights are factory tinted... they have a tinted lower half, meaning the reverse light and the turn signal. I will leave it at that because I think that looks good. If I would use my stock N12 Pulsar tail lights, I would tint them slightly. Thanks for the idea though! :)

Cheers,
Jan

Thanks M8!

Well, I will fix up those wheels on the pix for winter driving... for the summer I have another set of steelies... but I would very much like to get myself a full set of the 14-inch Pulsar ET rims... and paint them black, and brush up the face so it becomes shiny, almost like chrome!

Like this (I photochopped Kavit's chrome ET rims):

But I'm unsure what you mean with the word "recover", because my seats have never been missing! But if you mean getting seat covers, I can say I haven't quite got to that yet, but I will buy a set when I get the car finished! Something with black and gray instead of the black and blue that you see on the photos.

Here's a small update BTW:

I reckon seat covers look universally shit...

Not sure how much you'd pay an upholsterer to redo em properly though.

I pulled the upholstery off my driver's seat (but of a mission, but quite doable), chucked it in the washing machine and had it repaired for fuck-all... that worked out pretty sweet.

Yeah I know covers look crap but that's just temporary. I am planning to get the upholstery redone sooner or later, replacing just about all the fabric in the process. It's a bit expensive so I will have to wait a while. I'll probably finish building my E15ET before getting the seats redone though.

And yeah, I know, it's a bit of work (but not impossible) to detach the upholstery. Those metal rings that the upholstery is attached to the seat with really gave me the shits when I took the upholstery off both front seats to install the seat heaters.

And some pics again... daily updates are a bit overkill, I know, but I'm getting a bit excited about the fact that the car's going to be finished very very soon!

Thanks M8!

They do look better in some ways, I agree. But IMO Nissan should have supplied the European N12 Turbo gauge cluster with a boost meter. Wonder why they didn't.

I especially like the two-tone coloring of the dash... our N12 Turbos had completely black dashboards, whereas most of the late (1985->) N/A:s did have two-tone dashboards over here.
