et not running

Post by eturbo »

Hey guys

Have a problem with my et it just wont run it used to run but had to be towed as starter motor stuffed i think.. but when towed now nothing happens it just runs up the road being towed and just wont fire.

Was looking at the technical part of forums and looked at ecu and it says when key on there should be green light go on for a second but this light doesnt show up on my ecu when key turned on could this be something to do with it?

Thanks

My et sat around for about 3 months, It had the same problem when tow starting it. It turned out to be a dud battery. That would definately affect the lights on the dash.

Fuel Pump

Post by Stuart »

I'm far from a good mechanic, but this is the process I would use:

1. Check fuel level (I'm sure you have already done this)
2. Check power source to pump
3. Check for blockages in the line (filter)
4. Look over injectors (inc. electrical)
5. Talk to somebody who knows more than me

Before all of this I would have a good look over the electrical and vacumn connections to see if anything is loose. I have had my days ruined but one single wire in the past.

Good luck buddy.

you would have to connect the 12v+ directly to the battery, will turn it on if still working

check all you fuses and terminals for corrosion

It will NEVER boost if the wastegate actuator arm is disconnected.
