Just cut through your weld, clean it up again and grind a decent-sized chamfer around both ends, so your new weld will be fairly flush, grind it flat, and... hang on a sec, how'd Ben get the sleeve on?

Did you do the joint to one end of the available space, Ben? Or braze on two halves of a tube?

I guess you might have to start from scratch again, with the joint as far from the pivot point as you can go, minus 20mm or so for the sleeve to cover. A complete sleeve would obviously have to be sitting on the tube prior to welding...

The info on here should help a few guys out, instead of just chopping the stick off at the top like alot do, they can do a proper short shifter.

Im deff gona try it out.

Thanx

why would you chop the n12 gear stick? it's low enough already! it's about leg height... any lower and you'll need to reach down for it...

if you want to make shifting faster, you should extend the bottom part under the car a little bit, that way the stick will still be at the perfect height, yet you will get more 'throw'
