Hi guys, new member here will have my ride up soon, for some it may look familiar. My new ride will need an aftermarket ecu so....

My questions are:
What aftermarket ecu do you use?
What are your experiences with the chosen ecu?

Thanks

Depends how much ur willing to spend. Microtech are the most common in these cars, and prob the cheapest.

Cost isn't really an issue, im looking at getting a microtech, i was just wondering what peoples experiences are with it, stuff like that.

also depends on where Ur getting it tuned, most tuners stick to certain ecus

Any chance that someone could actually answer the questions iv asked, I dont want to seem rude or anything but all i wanted to know was what ecu people are using an whether it did the job they wanted or not, cost isn't an issue, finding a tuner isn't an issue,

A workshop local to me can tune any big name ecu's i just dont want to buy an ecu that will be over kill for the car,

The car the ecu will be going into was built to do 12s

Ive used microtech MT-8. It works.
EMS Ti-4. It works.
Adaptronic 420c. Its very good and every feature you could ever want and way better priced than all of them. Tuners may be a bit wary of it tho.

well i have a lt10s with x4 works awesome for me, easy to install and tune engine responds really well, really smooth on & off boost. only downside i find with them is they come with a 20psi map, upgradable but then it needs a re-tune :?

I like the look of the Adaptronic,
Are they easy to setup, eg: wiring, first tune,

Hey Mate.

I run an EMS stinger and I have been happy with it.

It is about 8years old and is limited in its functions.

It was already in the car when I brought the car.

No harder than anything else. However, they are the only ECU to offer fulltime adaptive tuning.
The rest offer "Autotune" functions which work.
Like any aftermarket ECU, they all require time and effort. if you want a bolt in, you aint going to get it!!!

im using LT8 Microtech.
downside: does not use wide band A/F senor
Electrical load will effect revs consistance (ECU does not compensate)

Adaptronic - all the way

I don't want to seem rude, by why the fuck don't you do your own search in peoples members rides rather than expecting everyone to be compelled to respond to your thread!

I've looked at pretty much every thread in here to see what people have, but just because each person has a certain ecu doesn't mean that its going to suit the required application, hence why i asked for people to share their personal experience,.

Based on the following replies that people have posted here i have shortened my list of possible options quiet considerably. Thank you to those that have helped.

Also i never demanded anyone to post in here all i wanted was for people to reply with relating information that i was looking for.

I appreciate the information that was given but costs an tuners was not something i needed to know, or otherwise i would of posted that as well,,
