has anyone tried the jaycar boost controller?

Post by angel »

hi all

im just wondering if anyone has tried the jaycar boost controller, i currently have a turbtech mannual boost controller but it spikes about 2-3 psi, which is to much, im after a little more control.

so let us know if you have tried it and what you think of it or if you have heard any good things about it, also was it difficult to assemble

cheers

For what its worth, I have seen them installed on 2 high horsepower GTS-T R33's. Like 280KW's at the wheels.

They were running about 18PSI. Both used Jaycar controllers, they are on SAU.

interesting.. there have been a few of these that were packaged with the wrong chips on them. basically they are the same device as the Digital Fuel Adjuster but with one chip different. there is a possibility that it came packaged wrongly..

Hey Angel. I have a Turbotech. I've only ever had a 1 psi spike. Try pulling it apart and giving it a good clean out.

thanks paul, i might try that, i think my acuator may be a little tight, im not sure

doing some reading up on the jaycar boost controller and they seem pretty amazing, with good tuneabilty, also they take the load readings from the injector pulse, pretty cool.

Ben,

Was the kit hard to build? I haven't seen what they look like.

I don't have a requirement for one, as its in the ECU. But I am interested in what they are like.

Thanks
darren.
