The 357 Magnum carries a Magnum load of powder...thus the name. It was if not still is the most powerful hand gun. It's the oversized powder load that gives it the massive power. It's a complete bitch to fire too. It'll try to tear your arm off from the recoil.

I did see a video a few months back, american police had this man in an interview room and exited for a bit. While they were out he pulled a handgun out of his pants and popped himself in the side of the head. They later walked back in scratching their heads. Whoops.

The interesting thing about the video was that after he shot himself in the head there was this brief moment where it looked like he still had concienceness and mobility and tried to put the gun back in his pants. He didn't though, he ended up slumped over one side of the chair.

i love the way he just does it all so casually. it's like he's done it a thousand times before.

then the detectives not worried that he's just popped himself and is dead, but that they will get in a heap of shit because no one patted him down.
