Post by leayr »

hey all havent been around here much lately just the exa's and et's were getting too hard to get around in newcastle so ive had 2 mx6 turbo's and got 1 626 turbo left just wondering if anyone on here has done one up before and got good power and decent quater mile time as the forums on mx6 and tx5 are abit rubbish compared to the passion on the n12turbo cheers for any advice

Hey back in the 90's I had a 626 turbo... but it was crap.
Well let me say that the gearbox was crap.....
I got rid of it after the 3rd box went.
(and I've never been a burnout king)
They just cant handle any power...
At the time I got to know the local mazda wrecker...
And was told it was pretty much the same with stock 626/TX5 turbos...
So when you give them an upgrade... BIF BAM POW broken...
So I got rid of it. (for a sweet Honda prelude, Great value for money)
I should say it was a TX5 turbo 2l motor in a 626.
It had some mods, bigger turbo... dont remember what else.
But back then, I got to say it was a very nice ride...
Tones off options, yes... Oh... that super deluxe LOL

Sounds good, I had a look about after the last post, sort of miss that thing.
Back then it cost me $12000, now you pick them up for under a grand.

Your mate may be able to get it running good without the problems I had with the box.

So what model/year, back then I wanted a 2 door, but I kind of like the hatch now.

200Kw is crazy power for the front wheel drive.
I have heard rumours that you can fit AWD to them.
and that way it is good for tones of power.

Keep us updated on it, I would be very interested, also post a pic or 2
