in all honesty dude these cars are shit but they have so much character, are fun and go fairly well when running right. we still play around with these things because they are a fun addictive little shitbox! :D - Ash

audio porn!!
i don't care:

If you're nice to me, I'll be nice to you. Simple as that.

OK ladies
Heres anothewr bit of audio porn but prolly most appreciated by the rotor heads.
Its a vid of the famed Mazda 787B quad rotor 1991 leMans winning car.
Johnny herbet at the wheel 20 odd years after winning at LeMans.
The outside recording at the beginning is best.
Note the old style of "H" pattern gearshift (was a Porsche gearbox interestingly) and the very deliberate and slow shifting between the wide ratios.

Turn it up very loud and enjoy.

Heres another one Im sure I have posted in the past but its worth another listen.

Ari Vatanen driving one of the offspring of the legendary, but now gone (Too fast to race) Group B world rally cars, the Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 GR. Mid-engined, 4wd and 4 wheel steer Coupe.
One of 4 examples made and 2 still living. 600hp from these little 2 litre bangers.

Its a run up the legendary Pikes Peak hillclimb in Nth US of A.
Ignore the long winded intro and titles and turn your speakers right up and listen to every one of those 600 plus horses doing the business and watch Vatinen working at the wheel of what appears to me to be a very ahhh.....extreme car.

For those who are interested in Grp B, heres a little thing on the Grop B rally cars.
It goes for an hour so charge up your glasses and enjoy!

Finally, this one is just a short homage to the group B's.
No sound but fantastic atmospheric music for those who's tastes are slightly wider than One Direction or Lady Gaga to some amazing slow-mo footage!

Cheers

Hawhawhaw, Im not that old you little whippersnapper!
Oh yes that BRM V16 is quite something!!!!!

OK gentlemen, please leave this thread for interesting sounding engines.

Unfortunately, rotors, yank v8's, (unless with a flat plane cranks a-la- Cosworth DFV et-al), ALL RB-T's and 2j bloody Zee's, stinkers (2 strokes as much as I love them) and diseasels all sound ther same, everyday, mundane....and crap, no matter how powerful they are!!!!

Post something interesting we have not heard before!!!!!

Ive posted this one before.
This is pretty special and its quite something to hear one of these rare machines running.
500cc V8 MotoGuzzi GP bike from the mid '50's.
Just under 80hp at 12000rpm. Topped juat under 180 Mph.

Enjoy:

Also, heres a quick walk around of this beautiful little bit of engineering wizardry. thre is also a 350cc version of the same engine. I dont know if there are any running.

Already have one of those 8 posts further up as they DONT sound mundane unlike every other 2/3 rotor made which bore me to tears.

Rotors and RB's/2j's and ANY Bent 8's are like arseholes, EVERYBODY has one and they all sound mostly the same.
