You guys get all the good bits down there in CHCH. I think that's where most n12's got shipped to when they were first imported and they seem to have hung around a bit.

From what I can see it would be a fairly straight forward conversion, only big issues would be wiring and fuel system, putting a return line in and a electric fuel pump.

Know of anyone in NZ who has done it?

If thats a .80AR then id say you have a ball bearing T25G there mate. Off an Avenir.

i kinda doubt it. but maybe? the main question then should be how many bolts holding the turbine housing on? if 4 then definitely a non BB core!

all T25G's have an .80AR comp housing.

W10 and W11 Avenirs had silver top SR20DET's. and the supposed BB T25G was used on the later W11 Avenirs.
chch_n12 wrote that his T25G was off a red top SR20DET.

i've had the same round sleeve inlet 3 bolt flange outlet compressor housing T25G. was supposedly of a later model Avenir. was definitely not BB!

I know all T25G's have the .80AR Comp side. Just thought that the Snouted compressor housings were normally BB core, and if it was a .80 is would probably be BB because of this.

Yep, you are right, Avenirs do have the silver top, not the red. I think alot of Bluebirds had the red tops. So yea, may not be a BB
