Thanx guys, only took about an hour to do, and that included shearing two bolt heads off. .....

Yeah, I realised prob halfway thru the bottle that when I'd gone to the fridge thirsty I hadn't payed much attention to what I grabbed......

Roito, time for some updates.....

Here's the Exa bonnet support. The hole that the bolt went thru on the Exa was just sitting there with nothing in it. The hook rod goes into one of the holes on top of the bonnet.

Here's my engine bay - a few changes like the oil filter. More pix in a sec with a couple of other changes.

Joel - here is what I was telling you about with the Strut foot. The one fitted to the car is the N13 one (I've been told it could be GTiR, but not convinced until I see it with my own eye balls) and the one I'm holding nect to it is the N12 one I had. You can see how much wider the one fitted to my car is.

And here's the giveaway that it's N13:

And here's something to check on - When the previous owner had the steering rack boots replaced, they only did the 4 big bolts up finger tight! I'd lost both loewr bolts and the upper ones were very loose. Makes steering the car ........ interesting.

When I was up at Pulsar Man's house for the QLD Cruise, we accidentally lunched my fuel pump relay. When ripping the loom apart to replace the fried wiring, I stumbled on the worlds worst wiring joint. If not for the small f*ck up I'd have never found this as it was tucked away. (If I;d done it I would hide it too!)
The 2 x runs of 4 guage were clamped together with a broken battery terminal, then 4 other feeds (including the main feed to the fuse box in the cabin) were touching it, and about 5m of insulation tape wrapped around it all! I cannot believe that the car hadn't burned to the ground yet. On top of this, until I got my hands on the car, the battery was in the boot with no fuse at all. Unbelievable!
Here we have a lesson in what not to do, followed by the $15 1/2 hour solution:

Might be a silly question, but your running N13 hubs, are you running an N13 rack? If so is it a bit quicker than the N12?

Heavy? my n12 rack isn't overly heavy, even for my little office boy arms. I'd just like it a bit quick is all.
