removing injector tail

i read the workshop manual about removing the hose tail from the injector with a soldering iron..... has anyone done this??? i'm guesssing it works or it wouldnt be in the manual any tips apprecaited

better than using a blade cause you won't take chunks out of the injector, and a lot less effort than trying to pull it off!

by the tail you mean the hose right?
