help need with whistling car

Post by kiwin12 »

hello all

i have a 1984 n12 pulsar

has any one had this problem before

my car whistles at any thing above 80 to 90 and above kmph

i cant not pin point it ,

i have so far tried all listed to find out where its comming from

tape up doors , windows , back hatch and rear windows , blocked off most of the front with cardboard , removerd the wiper arms , taped up the framing support under the bonnet , taped up the vent gaps in front of window , and blocked the space at fire wall where wiper motor lives , even removed the dash incase it was comming from the vents , and checked the seals inside the car

it still whistles

any help please ???

Its a Nissan... they have noises and rattles. Even My 2002 P12 Primera does.

Its not just a turbo noise is it? Turbulence behind the wing mirrors? Gearbox wine? Wheel bearings?

Try looking at or adjusting the angle of your aerial.

Darren.
Race it.

Damn, you've given nailing it down a red-hot go...

Seems like the only things you haven't tried are the mirrors and the aerial.
