This is an interesting discussion. Just to add to what E said - I vaguely remember that discussion with the alternative head and also the rotary head, and I seem to recall piston/bore spacing to be an issue. There is uneven spacing between cylinders 2&3 when compared to 1&2 and 3&4 No ot...

Join a car club and you can register it for $80 if its 25 years or older. Use the cash to buy some proper drag racing slicks. They'll be the best part of $600. Don't cock around with street rego - its an endless compromise. Trust me its not worth it. As far as I know from the "street meets"...

Agreed with above.

Try and get a soft compound as possible for hillclimbs. Not much time to build heat into them.

Or Dunlop D03's

As usual with these things - I've found its a combination of a couple of things. With our stupid combination of turbo positional overhang, weight and engine mounting setup - we may probably never keep the manifold bolts tight - and if you manage to the next bolts to undo themselves will be the turbo...

That seems like a decent price to me.. The turbo issue is one of concern. I know of 2 different engines that were rebuilt and replaced with the "original" faulty turbo's. OR they had been sitting for 8 months and on replacement into the "New' engine - they let go. It seems if your eng...

THe thing is with adjustable ones you need better pivot points on the chassis which the N12 doesn't really have :(

Cost blows out too I assume.

Yes Callum I am led to believe they do an adjustable option, but I need to call and ask them.

Sway Bars/Stabiliser Bar

So, as some of you know I have been fishing around for these for a while, after hoseclamping a second standard sway bar to the rear of mine - which works but is inadequete for my racing. As it turns out Whitleline discontinued sales of Pulsar ET and EXA sway bar solutions some time ago because of th...

I'd start with checking fuel pressure and flow as per the workshop manual.

Then I'd replace the fuel filter and check it again.

Once you know this information you can make a decision.

Hi Dan, I used an orginal nissan head gasket on my 80thou o-ringed block. Its worked well for many years - but Evan seems to think that I should get a custom one for replacement as the fire ring could be protruding into the cylinder too far creating hot spots and/or premature failure - but so far so...

Car show was great! The same sort of thing still happens now with GM Holden cruze. Initially fully imported they are now shipped in CKD form and assembled in Adelaide. And to think the commodore and falcons are Australian made is one thing. But the only aussie stuff in them is the damn iron ore in t...
