There is a component in between the dizzy and the coil that could be your gremlin. Its the ignitor, or transistor. I haven't heard of these failing regularly - but if you have replaced distributors and coil - then all that it left is wiring and ignitor. Well there is the computer PLUS 20 year old wi...

Interesting - the right side was slightly worse, but not by much. Bushes are definantly and issue, so is camber so is dynamic loading of the struts. Additionally I haven't used these tyres on the front at Sandown or Winton yet so it should be interesting. Basically the tyres cannot take another sess...

OKay - noted with placing bolt in lower hole. ALthough it shall be interesting to see what the clearance is. Whats your current camber? Not sure. close to zero What tyre pressure did you run? Fronts 28PSI cold which translates to 34 hot. Rear 25 which translates to 31 hot. Rears were perfect. What w...

Hi C, Yeah thanks for that. Although from the digging I have done so far, the footprint for the struts is different - this should confirm that. Also - I was more interested in camber initially, and from what I have experienced castor settings seem to be pretty damn close. More positive castor on our...

Strut Tops

Hi,

Does anyone know if the N12 pulsar strut tops are similar or the same as S13 or Datsun 1600 (510) ?

I am trying to source some adjustable camber/castor tops for the front end struts.

ANy info would be helpful.

Competed last weekend in round 3 of the Group5 circuit race series at phillip island. I haven't driven there since I was 15!! A little too long you might say :) Was a very cool day on Sunday in terms of temperature -- but running all 4 dunlop D03G semi's I managed a best time of Natsoft Dorian best ...

I think it looks great, and the hours spent and knowledge learned are invaluable.

Just please don't scratch the paint when you are placing the engine and gearbox back in (!) like I did. I also wrecked a raidiator in the same movement :(

Assemble the head with the heavier valve springs (search for details on that) - new set of of valve stem seals, and ensure your valves are seated properly, ensure the head and block are straight and even. Then assemble engine/head. Then get it all tuned and running, take it down the strip and see ho...
