Interesting read. Even more interesting commentry regarding large cars vs. small - is Australian industry dead? Discuss :) Some acquaintances I used to work with at the General, and also a couple of Deakin boffins I went to uni with - have been hard ar work with the EV's. http://www.goauto.com.au/me...

For instance: TOp and bottom raidiator hoses for Aus delivered ET pulsars and exas are getting near impossible to get. I couldn't actually get a top hose - only a bottom. So i've done that and have the info - so rather than someone else cocking around I can just insert that info into a live document...

I'm going to ask the obvious question. At what HP level did you max out those injectors? Maybe you maxed them out because you dropped fuel pressure, but tried to wind more duty cycle into them? which would explain the fuel pump upgrade. 850cc would be enough to support over 450HP from our engines......

Yeah Damo's a bit of gun. He is always so bloddy correct just like Tas. It certainly sounds like a fuel issue. Did it exhibit the fault when damo hooked up the Wide band? Because Damo would have seen it - assuming you were driving and not trying to hit stuff :) It might have taken a while though if ...

Tas, Yeah thanks for that. There is a flex join after the dump before the flange. Its tied up on that rear mount, the rest of the exhaust is mounted up reasonably tightly - but I have a suspicion that something was moving around under there before the failure. The front engine mount is solid bar and...

OK well it becomes difficult to nail down when these sorts of things come up. Off the top of my head: I have seen a split top casing in the fuel pressure reg, that seemed to exhibit the problems you are having but only when the engine was super hot! It caused a vacuum leak, that I could never seem t...

Callum, Nah the original blue ones from the group buy all those years ago... No plan on running the john mott. I have PI run in 2 weeks and then 2 weeks after that is the John Mott - back at Sandown. With the day off today I'll be disassembling today - getting part from Nissan tomorrow - shouldn't b...

Yes Callum, Well the first run was the only reasonably dry run, the rest were rubbish and there was a decent amount of sliding around. Although I must admit the dunlops are nice and progressive in the wet too. However -- on the last lap of the 3rd session I lost boost and the strong smell of exhaust...

All set - so to speak. I got another wheel alignment this morning - last minute. -2 and -1.8 camber on the front -1 degree of toe OUT total on the front now. Not toe IN :) It seems to now handle - on the quick drive home - much like it used to before I cocked around with the camber. Tramtracky but n...
