Well....I'm always bogged down with other things that stop me from working on my car, like females and work work!! That's why your Hotwok is so special B-man, a lot of work, time, effort and money. Its appreciated from my end anyway!! Keep it up! Looking forward to seeing the cars maximum potential....

I'd have to agree. I am running a big fuseable link close to the + side of battery in boot on my ET. But I can't remember what the damn value of the link is....I would not run it directly from battery to starter. Shit.....Lets face it, majority of n12's getting around are lowered or stiffer suspensi...

You won't be running sequential ignition with 2 coils. You will need 4 coils and a programmable ECU to do this. Unless your programmable ECU has 2 inputs for CAS (Reference and Sync like MOTEC) you will have to modify the standard CAS as mentioned. OFF TOPIC: Funily enough the standard ECU does run ...

I've got a Diakin 4-Puck ceramic springless clutch kit in my ET. Came as a complete kit. It bites very hard and is difficult to drive in traffic with. Everywhere else its fine. I think a lot of the damage cause is also driver related. You can wreck most drivelines if you try hard enough. Cost me $30...

I like them because they are cheap, easy to modify and quick. They were the WRX of the 80's. We have bits everywhere over here in OZ because Nissan sold hundreds of thousands of the N/A standard pulsars here. There are shiteloads of them in wreckers over here. And there are still heaps of them out a...

Yup, they seemed to roll over easy hey?? The info I found out from a work colleague, who used to work for Nissan, is that those ET's were dead stock standard, with a roll-cage, harness. Also, there may have been some avgas make its way in to a select few vehicles. :) Sweet sweet AVGAS. Apparently, t...

Well I did some shopping around and basically can get a standard re-build with a steel wheel for $1100. This use my compressor wheel and housing, a new garret BB core with a steel exhaust wheel. Then using my exhaust housing machined to suit. This was the cheapest quote I could find, from a turbo pl...

Well - Its 2K for the cheapest T3 flanged turbo, so I will ask around a few different places for re-builds. Does anyone have any suggestions for turbo repairs? Yep, that $1200 I mentioned earlier was for a complete rebuild, install steel wheel (modifying the exhaust housing to achieve) and test. Dar...

Panda - Ha yes Well I 'had' everything sorted. But I can't do any suspension testing without a turbo! Paul - You have hit the nail on the head there. Its a custom drain with a small restriction on it because of the angle. I am not happy with it, so that will be fixed. I was only saying that I have b...

Thanks for the replies!! All good information, making my choice easier. The car is setup for circuit/club racing. And it wasn't running any boost at the time, I had just reversed it out of garage and was attempting to put on trailer, then the fog started.... Dave - I have considered by another stand...

My Turbo Dilema -- Please read and Post!!

Hello Everyone. This is my problem. I have just blown a BB core RB25DET 1997 model turbo, with the ceramic wheel. I have custom dump pipe and manifold setup for a T3 flange to accomodate previous mentioned turbo. I have been quoted approx $1200 to fix it. This includes new seals and a 'steel' wheel ...

Evan, You have some excellent projects on the go! You have fantastic roads to test it out on too, unlike to concrete jungle here! I didn't know flat 4 VW came out injected? Clearly they are hard to get? There are several off-road buggy guys over here that use the E15ET engine in them. They also dump...

Thanks for the comments, its been off the road for a long time and I am looking forward to giving it its berries. Interesting comments about the Wolf. I suppose everyone will always go with what is recommended by others. Some of those people are tuners themselves, and have to make a buck. So they wo...

The Iceman is an older system designed for go-Karts. I don't know whether they sell them any more, they were around $500 new. They don't data log much better than the Wolf really. But they have lap timers and a couple of other cool things. Probably not worth it, but I got mine with everything includ...
