Evan, Well I listened to the experts when having difficulty with these coils and replaced them with $350 worth of Bosch coils and M+W modules, only to find that the coils were not the problem it was a setting in the ECU. I found the same thing with slow charge time. We actually put them on a bench a...

Haha, the boys are out I see. Nice work.

So it died after this video did it? What actually happened? Did it blow rings or crack piston? Was it a big let go?

Mine never actually died, it just lost compression to the point where it wouldn't start. It never went kaboooom.

Mate, I can tell you these things are a real pain in the arse. I am dealing with re-building one at the moment and I am not going to get away with it for under $1200. Go get yourself a T28 or something with the same flange. Or even one of those disco potatoes things, if you want to go huge. They are...

Good Score,

More tunability than you will ever need :D Lots of stuff to play with. Features comparable with ECu's worth double what you paid.

Well done, get it hooked up and away you go.

Hi Paul, I wouldn't think twice about putting the battery in the boot, its makes things so much easier. Things you don't even think of like replacing CAS/dizzy and routing intercooler piping. Although you have already done that stuff! I am glad that I did relocation on mine. How does that MSD go? Sp...

I reckon these ECU's are great. If you want to learn about electronics and are prepared to do some work, like Ben, these are the shite. Apparently, you can get away with setting the whole system up for less than $400. Completely programmable, with some extra features. As far as the tuning goes point...

Its frustrating hey?? See how you go. Maybe you can get in touch with Microtech and get them to test computer? I have had my Wolf 3D tested twice now, $40 a go, and both times it wasn't the ECU. That is why I am trying to suggest to you that it could be something else. Get your hands on a hand contr...

OK, So if you have fuel and spark, it should fire. Providing the timing is correct. Remove the spark plugs and inspect them. Are they wet with fuel? Are they fouled beyond use? Are they dry? If they are fouled, $15 will get you a new set, and it might just fire up. The pump might be running and all ...

No no Don't take it in just yet. Have you tried: - Timing gun on the spark lead to see if there is a spark? - LED (Light Emitting Diode) across the injectors to see if its injecting fuel. - An RPM, Injector mS, Ignition Advance on the hand controller when cranking? - Is the hand controller dead? - A...

Hi, Take some pics, thats the best way. Make them small so they are displayed. Is the thread on the shaft or the bolt damaged? You can replace the nut if that is all that is damaged. If the shaft/column is damaged, you could try a 'Thread File', which is a special file designed to clean out damaged ...

Ben,

Was the kit hard to build? I haven't seen what they look like.

I don't have a requirement for one, as its in the ECU. But I am interested in what they are like.

Thanks
darren.
