Sooty/dirty spark plugs, maybe even a broken spark plug u know.. maybe even fuel filter but probally not and wouldn't cause really that problem... I wouldn't be driving it though, get the problem diagnosed incase u do damage..

I'll just add this in, If u get like a big magnet, something strong enough to go through the sump and then some. put it under the sump and slide it to the drain hole, that helps get most of the metal shards sitting at the bottom of the engine..
