The car weights 800kg over the front tyres, and 240kg over the rear. When I launch away the rear springs compress and allow the wheeliebars to do their job. Since they are located 160cm away, the car just weights 100kg over them. That makes the remaining 940kg pressing down the front tyres... Took t...

Thanks everyone for your support! The car basicly stayed in one piece. Best run for the weekend was 10,49 - 238kmh. As I mentioned we ran on my old cluch. That was the one that was badly burnt in september 2006. We renovated it as good as we could but it wasnt good enough. It started slipping slight...

If most of the gear is gone and its not yet fixed to the flywheel,
you can always take it off and put it pack on to get the untouched gears towards the starter. =)

Tip: heat the gear up with a blowtorch so it expands. Otherwise it will be a bich to get back on. =)

As you all can see on the photo, the main problem is not that the starter doesnt reach far enough. Its the actual ring gear that has moved from its position on the flywheel. This was a known problem back in the good old days. Something with wrong tolerances made this happen. Nissan's fix to the prob...

To start with Id put the battery in the trunk, and the MSD inside the car... ...but apart from that? I think it always tends to get like that when adding stuff and building it all up. When everything seems to work then its time for tidying. If trying to make it look perfect while still developing re...
