1.5mm replaces the standard gasket and doesn't mess with your compression ratio.

It ran again once the engine had cooled. Rough under 3,000 RPM. Wouldn't restart again of course. I'm suspecting the 4th AFM now.

I used something similar to WD40. Made no difference. I do that every now and then anyway. My manual has no mention of the resistance to the injectors (Haynes).

I replaced the ECU and the pumps now work. It'll start with throttle down quite a bit when cold. Doesn't run evenly though. After it's run once it won't start again. I can smell fuel and the plugs are wet but not dripping. I have checked the temp sensor by heating it with a multimeter connected and ...

I replaced the EFI relay with one that certainly used to work in the spare car. Checked fuse. Still no fuel pump. Suggestions?

Well there's no clicking going on now. The thing still wasn't firing when the prime was working though. The fuel pump relay is the green one above the fuse box, right?

Bastard won't start again

I had been driving for about 30 seconds and the car started running a bit rough. I pulled over to check under the bonnet and couldn't get it going again. I was close enough to home to push it. After checking for spark and checking the temp sensor with a multimeter it started. It was stubborn and I h...

If you have a recon'd box done by a GOOD shop and never use those stupid puk clutches you'll probably be fine. E can tell you all you need to know about a decent clutch.

"If you have the time and little cash, do the body work yourself and get someone to spray the colour for you. Preping the body is 95% of the job." I'm an ex spraypainter so I know what I'm talking about and I'd kinda recommend the opposite. Prep IS 95% of the job but it's by far the most ...

Well...those particular FPR's aren't great. I know from experience. Honestly, they are of use if you are trying to richen up a car with a stock ECU but not neccessary and just another thing to go wrong if you're using oversized injectors. Technically 440 cc injectors are overkill and they are just g...

Kane. Do yourself a favour and chuck that FPR. They wander around which means your tune will go out and you don't need it with an aftermarket ECU anyway.
