Other:...

Future Plans: Repaint in holden hot house metalic green with black 2 tone...

Pics:

A few days before i bought it i went to the dudes house to fix it up before i bought it. He thought the rust wasnt that bad, but it turned out to have alot more than he thought!

The exterior

This is the worst patch after i ripped it all out and rust killed its ass!!!
Image

Applied filler which needs a HUGE sand back!:p
Image

There was rust in the drivers door from water getting stuck under the rubber side strip. There were a few minor holes and alot of surface rust which got off with a grinder and smootherd over ready for the side strip to go back on:)
Image

There was also rust on the bottom of the drivers side fender which is gone now. Appart from that stuff the car is mint really. There as no sign of rust in the door sills or anywhere that is prone to rusting!

My eletric sunroof!

My Jap spec digital dash!

BRC top mount turbo in original condition

The turbo needs a rebuild, the seals are shot and it smokes on boost but other than that it runs well. I am NOT going to upgrade to a T25, a G or anything I want this to be my reliable daily drives, and also a car to tow the Exa to the drags:)

And it has auto aircon that changes itself to suit your settings:) w00t!:p

My 2 babys side by side:)

Image

The chalky white bumper:p
Image

The front/drivers fender... A funny little dent right in the corner. How anoying!
Image

The bottom was all rusted out from mud/dirt build up underneath. Almost no meat left in it! So i fiberglassed the back of the panel and smoothed it over with a thin coat of filler. Good as new:)... well... its getting there:p

Image

Image

The bone stock BRC E15 after a little shine up:)
Image
Image

I also found rust under the hatch seals... I had the same in my exa. I guess you aust ppl get it too, but NZ weather is really bad for it. So i rust killed the lot and its all primed up now ready for some more work.

Pass. side
Image

Drivers side
Image
All 3 of them:), the exa, milano and my parts exa under cover
Image

I really like the NISSAN N12 stamps on all the factory aero pieces:)
Image

There was also rust around the little #plate holder thingies at the back. So that is all good now too. It doesnt look the best due to the well defined masking lines:p but it will do until the respray comes:D
Image

There were some small rust wormey things forming at the bottom of the windscreen. I didnt want them to get as bad as they are on my exa (soon to be fixed!) So I ripped the seal off and killed the suckers. But the screen broke in doing so! but that got fixed about a week or som ago.

I got another T2 turbo on monday and made the switch 2 days ago.

My old T2 had about 2mm play side-side and about 3mm in-out. So its safe to say it was SHAGGED!

The new T2 has next to no play in it, but it still smokes a bit if driven hard :(

Here are some more pix

The car got its WOF, with a few things that i needed to do. The new turbo is also blowing smoke, so i got another one today.

I went to pick a part today and got a few other goodies:)

Chances are most of you havnt seen this interior before... its is a Jap only interior in some of the 1986 Milanos

I dunno if these are a standard item or not. They are very thin, so ill be bulking them up a tad, but they follow the same lines/shape as the factory front kit.

They also fit on the exa, but not quite as nicely... They are not in to great condition... but fiberglassing isnt hard so they will be all good soon.
