For those who donk know, Alfa made some of the Pulsars up as Alfas, i guess they were called the Alfa ARNA... (just incase the ARNA bits in the article got u stumped)Wheels magazine, November 1983, page 54, Titled 'Spider Possibilities' wrote:
Davia bently, Alpha-phile, believes anything is possible from the Nissan-Alfa connection and has penned this version of the Pulsar EXA Spider as a very real alternative to the sedans already offered.
Bentley's idea fpr a Alfa Spider version of the EXA - the Pulsar/ARNA - uses the coupe's panels below the wasteline and even the same windscreen. Only the neat Alfa style grille has been added to give the car some marque identification. Obviously it could be sold as either an Alfa or Nissan. Open car certainly looks purpose built, lacks the sharply cut-off tail of the EXA coupe that makes it so awkward in appearance. Roll bar is intended to give the body some aditional rigidity, allows for wind-up side windows.
With most of the world's car makers looking at the convertable market - and some have already dived head first in - and Alfa's tradition interested in the scene the possibility of an ARNA Spider becomes very real . . .
