yeah, thats it. i'm a stupid mother fucker cause i want to put an external gate on my et, good on ya dickhead! and i'm wasteing all my money on doing so,ha. all i asked was it possible to weld onto the standard manifold.

and i didnt expect such crap from you guys, who cares how much money i spend on my car.(which has been bugger all, compared to some of the guys here)) thats not what its about, is it? some of you have spent thousands and thousands on theses cars. and you 'll never see that money again. but thats what we do. we do it cause we like modifying car's.
all i did was ask for some input, not stupid shit

This is an open forum and not everybody will share your enthusiasm for your project and be happy to say so.

Don't worry about Tass.

I thought he was a dick too when I joined but he just tells it how it is. And he is a smart man to listen to.

Get it started and do it.

Now you have your answer you can now put the external gate on..BUT if i were you I wouldn't go doing it yourself as you already failed at the whole rotating the housing and mounting the actuator correctly..So more than likely if you were to do it, it would be an absolute disaster

im all good, it was just a bit pathetic to call me a stupid mother fucker when you dont even now me,thats all. all i did was ask a question.and i will harden up, nothing like a teaspoon of cement in the morning coffee.

and i turned my housing on my turbo correctly, thats the 2nd turbo ive done it to. and the actuater is mounted properly . its just shit, instead of getting a new internal actuater i wanted to go external gate. thought it'd be cool and sound tuff.

and i'm not going to do it myself, i dont know how to weld, last time i did an exhaust on my minitruck i cut my wrist and got 13 stitches. but i still gave it a go.

but most of the work on all my cars ive done myself or with mates.
i installed my heavy duty clutch, turbo, all interior and stereo done by me,i even painted it myself. if i dont know something i ask, thats how i learn

At first distant glance, that pick looks like a porn shot.......
Oh wow man, you look like you've torn urself a new arsehole there.............
Well, whatever you did there youll know not to do it again eh?

Dont feel singled out with Baz's "motherfucker" comment. Everyone here gets exactly the same from him. Its his way, abrasive but his way.
Like me, you get used to him!

Now stop talking about your junk and go do it and show us the result so we can pick the shit out of it further.........

baz wrote:I've seen an ET with external gate & screamer and it sounded pretty crappy, I'm running a stock sr manifold on my 180sx with an external gate on it & it works fine..Actuators over time tend to not hold boost as good as when they very first were made so I have noticed quite a BIG difference between internal gated and external..I'm running a hks gt-ss turbo on my 180 and it is internal gated & it would just slightly not hold the same amount of boost (16psi) but with this external gate it holds 16psi 1.1 bar spot on everytime..feels much better to drive..gates sound mad on the right engines, rb's & 1/2J's but I wouldn't go putting one on an E15ET
Why not just use some simple valves to control wastegate creep? Heaps easier.
