Ummm well nah M8, the GX's have the twin front lights. The GX is the "upmarket" ('spose you could say "Ghia") version.
The GL's are the poverty pack base model hence no tacho or that funky little lower center console thingy. Is why I was surprised it had twin lights. Perhaps someone added them at some stage during a repair. Mebbe there was an option??????? Dunno, who cares. Its a tidy N12.
EXAMADNESS.
Lol. NO E15s in Oz M8. Carb versions just known as plain E13 or E15.
Yep, there are a few auto N12's around. Evidently, they are not highly thought of strengthwise.

Hmm, interesting they look quite original, cause I saw another car like mine and it had the exact same front.tassuperkart wrote:Ummm well nah M8, the GX'x have the twin front lights. The GX is the upmarket version.

hmm, ok then. Cool my car is modified. LOLtassuperkart wrote:Thats it m8, they will look same at a glance.
Only diff outwardly apart from the front lights is the GL badge on the back. The GX badge looks very similar at a glance.
Frontend bits are a straight swap.

As you said man, must of been an option, cause its never been in a smash and I find it quite hard to believe that my 71 year old nana modified the car, so yeah I am gathering that it must have been an option.

I'm pretty sure that the single headlights were factory fit for the GL till they ran out of them 1985/86, then the more modern twins were all that were available.
Strange that they weren't optioned on the ET's though?

Hey Guys,
I am looking to sell this car, just wondering how much I could get for it. I'd be happy to sell with RWC and Rego. Just looking for a baseline price.
Thanks.

Hey,
That is great example of a nice stock car! They are starting to get a little rare. I don't see that many of them on the road, but heaps in the wrecking yards....
I don't know how much you would get for it, probably not much - even though its in awesome condition.
Just keep it --- itll go forever and you'll never have to worry about it!
