Has anyone used or had experience with a non-genuine bosch 040. There's quite a large cost difference $80-100 as opposed to $200. I am wondering if its worth the risk, or just to go genuine? Links provided, Cheers guys.

well from what i've read now apparently a lot of them don't flow as well as the genuine one. It is surprising to see that infact a lot of the ones that look geniune, i.e. shipped in bosch boxes are not genuine at all. I went to AutoOne today to get a pricing for the 040 and it was $400!

So i guess i ill look into double checking that the one of ebay i'm getting is genuine, or might look into getting a walbro 255.

There are also some online stores that look geniune around the $200 mark so i might look into those.

An 040 is a truckload of pump! Even a 1/2 genuine flow pump would be overkill.
