Think I might need a new daily

Post by Callumgw »

Travelling to work. Stopped a red light on Wurundjeri way and Flinders ( in Melbourne), lights go green and two late runners, one motor bike and one van, pass through – obviously running the red. I was in the far left lane with two cars on my right. Had a quick look and it seemed that was all, so moved off and BANG.

Winded

Sore chest

Crapsticks why am I looking that way?

Lady didn’t see the light was red and T-boned me at close to 60kph. The other two guys had started, but then seen her. I didn't.

Hit square in the B pillar, spun the car round and backed it into a light pole, breaking the rear passengers side upright clean through.

I’m sore but should be OK. Thanks to a side airbag!

Car? Waiting to find out if it’s been written off.

now I really gotta get the exa back on the road to use until I find something else.

I understand the need for conformity. Without a concise set of rules to follow we would probably all have to resort to common sense.

Crap Bud, no good. The suby safety features held up pretty good.
I'd say she's a gonner mate, lots of damage spread around there.

Yeah subie specialist repairer said write-off and sent it to the sale yard, now the assessors just needs to agree.

Replacements? not sure. I'd like a Golf R, but the wait is into feb 2011...and they're $$$. My boy would like me to get a mini, but they cost heaps for not to much go - more show. R32 is a maybe, GTI, maybe MPS, or a 130i (prefer 135, but not up to spend $65k+) maybe a S3....
