OK men
Now, remember what thwe TITLE of the thread is.
Its for decent SOUNDING things. Driving vids....meh, who cares!
Im sorry but a Commonwhore doing a street burnout, an NSX and a F430 doing a bush thrash DO NOT make proper sounds! They are girly sounds. The F430 sounds like a CRX and the NSX... sound just crap! Rotors....ho-hum!

Cmon, lets hear some real engines.

Heres something i found.

Only a short vid but listen to the thing sing!!!!!

oh man
I understand the need for conformity. Without a concise set of rules to follow we would probably all have to resort to common sense.

Mmmm... yer... Thing is. Im an avid fan of tractor pulling from the tiddlers right up to the big guns!
Ive watche literally hours of footage and have an overseas internet "M8" who runs a big fuckoff Scania V8 truck in pulling!!

They make a seriously entertaining SIGHT but the sounds are... well.. mmm Big 6's, go bang! Multi V8....meh and gas turbines... well they all sound the same.
Only thing that sounded interesting really was the big radial!! And you only get points for that because Im an ex aircraft engineer so...yer.
most of the really good stuff are big V12's. Mostly old tank engines. Very similar to RR Merlins and the like. Just a V12 tho m8...just a V12.......

This thread is about NOT what they CAN do, its about how they SOUND!!!!!!!!

Keep 'em coming!

1uzfe quad cam v8, 14.1 compression, custom cams/springs, porting, running E85 fuel

:55 sec onwards is a great sound with the external camera behind the ITB's, however, 1:54 sounds truly amazing. 3rd or 4th gear at low revs, with ITB's putting your foot down sounds truly gracious

i know it is a driving vid, but you can appreciate the sound, i am sure

Meh.... its just like ANY V8... booooring.

You want to hear an interesting V8?
Go back a page or so....fukkit, here:

Now THAT is what Im talking about. Not some half assed japcrap peanut-headed baby arsed poofter saloon car engine puffing away at 7500rpm.......
No sirrrreee!
Listen to this Judd thing........... THAT is the kind of thing Im talking about!!

However, that Lloys Smith vid is done my home track Baskerville, so gives you a nice insight into where I mostly race.
Young Smithy doing almost the entire length of the main straight sideways, which is steeply DOWNHILL, is quite extrordinary!!!

Alan Jones described Baskerville as possibly the best and most demanding short track anywhere in the world. High praise from an ex F1 world champ. High praise indeed!

LLoyd Smith didnt even have a drivers license and built that car entirely by himself. OK, he had help but he did the job on his own at a time in his life that most of you were still working out how to put the chain back onto your pushie, typing out interminable booring faff on Facebook and wanking yourselves stupid over the quick glance at a schoolgirls knickers on the schoolbus that afternoon!!!!
I take my hat of to that kid who shows incredible imagination and engineering "can-do" skill which is a talent that is sorely missing now in the vast majority of motorsport! Along with his obvious driving skill!!!

Not often Tassuperkart takes a bow and salutes but I admire and stand well aside for that young dude! LOL

Mmmm not bad. Being an old V6 Capri owner I have a soft spot for them but they dont sound much chop really. just another 60 Deg. V6.

That engine is a Ford Cosworth DGA - V6 3.4 litre.
Its based on the old pommie Essex 3.0 block and Coswoth designed the single twin cam 24v head which can be used mirror image on both sides.
Around 450 Hp reliably using old Lucas mechanical injection.

Looks like this closeup.
Image

A really mean looking bit of engine weponry!

And sounds like this closeup! Like any hotted up V6 really.
