Ive been meaning to upload a pix of the old girl for a long time.
Here 'tis after todays MRA ToyRun in Hobart.
Bored up to 88mm and loaded with 10.5:1 Wisecos
2mm O/size Manley stainless valves.
Twin spark plugs percylinder fitted with Accel racing coils.
Heads ported and flowed by Benny Gatt (Superflow) in Sydney
Modified cam timing and recurved ignition timing
Lightened flywheels and custom clutch setup.
41mm CD Hitachi carbs
Custom 2 into 1 pipe by O'Brien Pipes
Custom made full floating front disks
Koni adjustables on the rear.
Mike Hailwood Replica fairing.
Its the only genuine example of a Darma SS in Tassie and one of around 150 ever made worldwide.
You see a couple of SSD mockups around but even the untrained eye can pick them.
*Edit - The Renegade*
* Angelfire don't like you tagging images they host. Slack Huh? *

I didn't realise you were a Duke man Evan! I have been hunting high and low for a decent 750 or 800S around the '98 - '02 vintage, but cannot find one to save myself. Actually I lie, I have found 2 .... and they have both been in Tassie!
I rode a Buell XB9S Lightning today though, and I quite like how ugly it was and how it felt, it almost rode itself! Obviously I'm not after something with huge power coz it's been quite some years since I've ridden a bike on anything other than dirt, and if the power is there I'll use it and then I'll end up on that bloody RPA show or some such.
An advantage I've noticed of the Buell over the Ducatti's - service cost. The Buell is a little more than I was going to spend though, so if a nice 750 Sport rocks up it's mine.

Yer its strange Angelfire do that.
When I posted it they worked.....................
Thanks for fixing that.
I usually host my own pix but my account is getting close to full now!!!!!!!
Yer M8, thats the second Duke Ive had. The first one was a really cewl older 900GTS. Spring heads, no electric leg, mag wheels, Contis. What an old beast. I traded it in on the SSD back in 1982!!!
I had a 750 waterbottle before that with a 3 into 1 Bromlech expansion chamber on it. Damn that thing wailed when you wound it on! Good old bike that waterbottle.
Ive had this old SS girl ever since!
Im a true Ducatisti and I got the thrill of a lifetime when young aussie Stoner won the MotoGP world champs on a Ducati!!!
Id love to see Rossi on the Ducati as well...now that would be something!
Ive always admire the Buells even if it uses a frikken Harley engine..........
I dislike Harleys. A close M8 had a really nice FSXT "Lowrider Sport". I spent many kilometers on that thing.
A special order rubberglide evo engine in a twin shock frame with a solid back wheel and disk brake, a mag front wheel and twin disks up front.
Surprisingly agile bike for its bulk but it aint 25 grands worth of value....... not in a million years!!!
Just me tho.
I like pure sport bikes and you can get no purer sport bike than an olde SS bevel drive duke.
Love 'em or hate 'em they get the looks and still do the business!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, Stoner was tha shit this year!
I heard a rumour that Rossi has spat the dummy and said that if his crew don't get they're collective shit together he is gonna hit Ducati up for a ride. Think he was a bit jealous when an Aussie kid won his title on his bike!
Yar, still have a thing for the Ducati's .... the Buell - apparently any idiot can work on the engine just because it uses the harley anchor! Kind of attractive for me, coz I'd end up stuffing something in a big way playing around with the Desmo gear ......
And I'm attracted to the Uglyness of the Buell too .... it's also why I have an Exa! Does it surprise you that I had a soft spot for Fiat X19's too? ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Maybe its all the years of wearing her down everytime i see a Ducati i just say "look a Ducati for matty " lol then i try the puppy dog eyesThe Renegade wrote: also you should let Panda in on your secret of 'how to use the Jedi Mind Trick on your chick'

Nice Giant dude, that should last you forever. I have a '99 Giant and it has copped a FLOGGING! Been over a cliff, hit by a car, thrown away mid air several times, blown out the front fork seals landing a big jump and the frame let go once, but ya gotta love the Giant lifetime frame warranty! Came back from repairs with a whole new section welded in!
I'll put some pix up tomorrow.
Wow, I'm always so Off Topic.......
