What Motorcycles Do You Own

Post by tassuperkart »

Ive been a motorcycle rider all my life.

I know there are quite a few of you that ride.

What bike/s do you own right now.

i have a Ducati 900SSD which Ive owned from new (1981) Its a 900 Darma SS and is as rare as rockinghorse shit. (possibly only 150 bikes ever made worldwide)
I have a rat bike Honda XLR 500 R as a ride around shitter.
*Edit*
I sold the old Honda. I now havew this:

The old Duke has a few changes to help it along a bit:

2mm O/size (88mm) Wiseco 10.8:1 forged pistons
Twin pug heads
2mm oversize Manley stainless valves
Ported, throated, 3 angle valve cut and gasflowed "big port" SS heads by Benny Gatt at Superflow
Re-graphed ignition with Accell racing coils and plug wires
Modified clutch with extra steel and fibre plates using uprated 450 desmo short racing clutch springs
Lightened flywheels
Hitachi 41mm CD type carbs off XV1000 Yamaha
Custom 2 into 1 zorst made by Phil O'Brien
Indexed cam timing, retarded by 6 degrees
Fully floating custom modified front Brembo disks
Koni adjustable rear shocks

It goes OK for an old bevel drive vee twin.

Here ya go:

I bougt a Yamaha XT600e the other week, just to get by the traffic jams here in Stockholm.
Ive had the license for over ten years, but just never got to the point of buying a ride of my own until now...

I forgot to mention my old MX bike, a Bultaco Mk11 360 Pursang.
Ive had that since new as well hehehehehe (there is a pattern of "old" in here yer?"
Nearly lost my life on that old "bully". Teastrained myself thru Mallee scrub after clouting a hidden tree stump in the 1976 BP desert rally.
Got an embolism as a result of the smashed leg.....farkin close....saw the "light" and all that........ Spent a week in ICU with a million drips and wires...christ!
Cant bring myself to get rid of that bike.

When I was a young lad I had a 1984 Honda Z50R, which I thought was an awesome bike to begin on. I sold that off and hadn't ridden a bike for well over 10 years.

I bought a 2001 Honda CR80 earlier this year, it's apparantly had some work done to it and it gets on band pretty hard for a little bike... it's been great.

At the end of the year I'll probably sell it off and look at getting a CR250. I rode a 125 and a 250 on the weekend and the 125 wasn't much of a step up from my 80... the 250 was good fun.
