done a little work on the beast recently

a big hats off to damo, once again for all his help. helped me sort out my exhaust leak. and since i tapped in an O2 sensor housing into my dump, gave it a nice lil road tune with his wideband.

thanks to boostet for the parts i bought. soon to go on is a gt2871 .64ar

Image

also the stainless manifold and external gate

Image

aluminium radiator

Image

dump pipe hasnt arrived yet. soon as it does its all going on

also sat down with a friend of mine and restored the absolute abortion of a wiring harness underneath the dash. got it all sorted out and added a few extras :P

Image

touch screen dvd player bottom left, boost on top of that, my freaking awesome tacho on top of that. has a digital readout for current speed,rpm,0-400m time, 0-100km/h time, odometer and peak RPM.

microtech handset and turbo timer hiding at the bottom of the steering wheel. volts and water temp on the right.

my mate and i are in the midst of seeing if we can use the touch screen DVD player as a "handset" for the microtech.

also gave the front end some structure and support back. since the previous owner cut out the radiator supports, she was very loose in the front, so i welded in some pieces to stiffen it up.

Image

also got a jetspeed front bar off of dexi which i am in the process of repairing and colour matching some paint, then on that goes.

soon as that is on, this will look nice sitting behind it

will keep you updated
Michael

P.S ordering new clutch on monday aswell. Heres to hoping i can now get some power down in 3rd and 4th without epic slippage :P

ooohh yeah.... new clutch ordered today, should be ready sometime around tuesday

$240 for a heavy duty clutch KIT which is awesome

plus they are building it up stronger than a normal heavy duty clutch for no extra charge.

So far have had brilliant service from the guys at NPC Performance clutches.
Hope fully the product reflects the service

Haven't seen this car for years!!
Although I haven't been around for years either!
Good to see it's still around in once piece, used to cruise around with it some sat nights 'back in the day'. Alex I think his name was. Just remember it being mega low, wicked green and went pretty hard ;)
Good you fixed up the flimsy front and looks like it's in good hands. Nice grab man. Keen to see the progress.

Dan.

Hey mate,
Yeah I'm not too sure it was over 5 years ago now. I do remember the t25g, big front mount and a bit of boost, was quick, how's it run now? Not sure what else hey. Back then both our cars went about the same.

I understand the need for conformity. Without a concise set of rules to follow we would probably all have to resort to common sense.

Hey man,

Nice et. Like it a lot.
I have a garret 2871r on my Exa ATM. As soon as you wack yours on and tune it, PLEASE send me a pm and let me know how it goes, especially with your microtech setup! Mine is super laggy, won't hit boost until like 4500... I've got a fuel only microtech mt4 on it, and wanted to upgrade to something that had spark to tune it better. Sorry to hijack, but I'm really curious. I think the turbo is just too big for the 1.5l. I was almost abused for having such a big turbo on the exa by the place I got mine tuned at. He was offended by it! Haha but yer, it's really laggy on mine, so hope yours works out better.
