Baz's 4EFTE Powered Ae82

Post by baz »

Hey, As the 180 has been my daily/track car for the last 6 or so months, I've decided to give it a rest & buy a reliable daily car..So up came this 4EFTE powered AE82, Fully granny spec looking + it's mod plated aswell..To me its the perfect daily aslong as I don't start wanting to mod it..quick run down on the car:

Seca interior + twincam dash
ae92 wheels
2.5" zorst
fmic
catch can
fuel pressure reg
boost gauge
turbo timer
ct12a turbo

+ other mods such as suspension & brakes etc

Long story short, My mechanic built the car 8 years or so ago..Then sold it & never seen it again, randomly a guy came into his work & they got talking & he said he had a 4efte powered ae82, so once they went outside to have a look, funnily enough it was the car my mechanic built all them years ago, didnt change a bit, engine was tired but still the same..It was also for sale, so my mechanic brought it back, got a new engine from itchiban & did the whole "you send us your shit engine, we send you a good engine back, whilst that was happening it copped a black engine bay with bigger turbo, custom exhaust manifold & fmic etc..Car was then sold 12 months ago to a guy who never drove it & now i own it..The car will be staying as is as it's mod plated for precise things, all I'm going to do is get a nitted rug & a bowles hat for the rear parcel shelf, enough of my shit talk hehe

IMHO, I'm so far from being a fan its not funny. Never liked the car so I'd never buy one.

But good luck with it.

I'm with you 100% on that, I dont rate the shape of anything really about the car, The main reason I got it was I've been driving the 180 as my daily for the last "X" amount of months & it's not very practical as its only 2 doors, very low & has a roll cage so it wacks the seating capacity down to a 2 seater..This corolla is like an 86 model i think, quite tidy for its age but by looking at it you just think its a shitty 4ac slow shitter, It fair gets up and goes, and the flutter gives people a massive head turn
