well the most definite thing would be to remove the carpet and look at the extra bracing that is installed in the verts over the standard exas, but i think you will find they had a pillar just behind the front door.

Sorry, but if you cant tell an authentic vert from another you shouldnt call yourself an N12 enthusiast. Bottom line.

I understand that some were done in aussie for some reason but really, they are not the real deal.

this one has single piece side windows, and no c pillar/roll over bar just from looking at it, two of the easiest ways to tell.

probably doesnt have power steering or electric mirrors either, thats another easy way to tell if it is a genuine nx convertible.........

not ragin out btw mate, just helping clear thing up

I'm not sure that's the word I'd use for myself, but I believe it's accurate enough despite my lack of knowledge about a limited-run special model. I have intimate knowledge of my N12.

Comprehensive knowledge of such arcana is the reserve of folks who are beyond enthusiastic. I like N12s for a lot of reasons, but the convertible Exa isn't one of them.

just to clear it up, i had to remove the roll over bar as it was rusted to the shithouse, and it does have power steering and electric windows, but i gotta replace the actuator on the drivers side

:? geez mate, removing the rollover bar from a genuine vert is suicide. not only is it a crucial part of thr structural rigidity of the vehicle, it also serves as a sealing point for the rubber seals to protect from the elements.

i still wonder though with the single piece side windows.

genuine covertibles also didnt come turbo (not to say it wasnt converted)

they also only came in red (yours may have had a respray, but it should still be red up under the dash on the firewall)

if you could put up more pics of the engine bay, rear seat area of interior, and vin number.

cheers mate

Also the Au spec bumper (incorporater #pl8 lights). Not that that isnt changable.

Would also be interested on seeing photos of the rear seat area, roof latches on the top of the front windscreen, and where you cut the roll bar off.
