Hello

Post by RotaFreak »

Hello all,
Im new to this forum and would like to say there are some pretty awesome little N12s here, I am currently doing up an N12 of my own but its unfortunatly non-turbo, but looking for wreaked or unwanted exa or ET turbo for donor car (Toowoomba QLD) as my shell is reasonable and has no rust.
Is 3/4s red in colour as I ran out of motivation, Has Rolled out Rear Gaurds as its sitting low on old school RWD Hotwires.
It is my work in progress and I will try and get a few pics up asap
But here is the link to what it was earlier this year http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3359784/1 ... san-pulsar

Thanks guys
and yea is a bit of a mission to convert to turbo but well worth it I think, But thats why im waiting patiently for a complete donor car to make it much much easier.
A few years ago when living in NZ I owned what is called over there a 1985 Nissan Sunny Leprix 3dr Hatch 1.5 Turbo which is same running gear as the ET and EXA and they are alot of fun to drive, So with those memories in mind I think A turbo conversion would be well worth the Blood sweat and tears lol

Welcome!

Sounds like the beginning of an interesting project, good luck! Like Ash said, go ahead and ask around if you've got problems. And please do post pics of the progress, don't wait until the car's finished!

I love the red paint, nice! 8)

RotaFreak wrote:Ok I will take some new Photos in the next couple of days as an update since it now has all doors back on it and is sitting low again looking very nice for an old pulsar, I am looking for a auto Transand ECU from an ET Turbo or Exa if anyone knows of one or has one, I will be getting RWC before Turbo conversion commences and as my wife can only drive autos it has to stay auto so she can drive it on the odd occassion.
I think an auto transmission won't be strong enough for the turbo engine... you'll probably break the gearbox.

Teach yer missus to drive a manual FTW.

Get her to master pulling away in second, and it's mostly job done.

Thanks for the Welcomes!!
Funny enough one of the first cars she drove was in NZ, her mothers 1985 Nissan Milano which again have ET/Exa Turbo running gear and was 5spd too, She can drive manuals but is confident with autos and is pregnant with No3 so it can stay auto until she has her own car then its game on lol.
Dexi_styles I might get in touch with you if you still have those parts once mine is on the road.
I will take some photos this weekend but I will have to unbury as its not pretty at moment sitting burried with crap in the garage from moving recently.
Body wise all I have to do is prep and paint front Guards/Bumper and Valance, Then its putting all the interior back together.
When I was given the car 3+yrs ago it had already been sitting out in the sun for 2-3yrs so most of the plastics are perishing so are all slowly getting replaced as I find the parts.
