madn12's et project

Post by madn12 »

Been on this forum while now but havnt been around in like 2 years, good to see some familiar faces around... any way it started with my first pulsar, was an 85 Blue non turbs was just a daily basher... sold that then finally got a et
Any way I picked this car up in a pretty poor, stock condition. Then late nov 08 had a wheel alignment and they stretched the shifter links trying to get in reverse so then i had trouble getting in to 1st 3rd and 5th then the next day took off from the lights hit 1st, 2nd then went to go in to 3rd but cos i had no feel of the gate went in to 1st and thats how it ended lol snapped 2 valves, since then its just sat looking sad for its self till i noticed an et come in to my local wreckers but by the time i got to it the motor had been pulled apart so now on the hunt to find a motor and box to finish it all off!

Wow! Cool ET you got there! :D Love the so called "granny shade" :D Looks really nice!

And as for the rims: Me and my brother used to have some disagreements about the pulsar 4( 8 )-spoke rims. He thinks they look good and I told him they look like shit, but when I saw them on this car I changed my mind. Jan go get some pulsar rims and fast!! :D

cheers, yeh there probably the best 80's factory rims around would be nice if they where a little bigger but oh well

found a pic of the back with the shade
Image

toying with the idea of hacking it up and just leaving the top slat kinda like a roof spoiler you find on newish jap cars these days like this..
Image

took a pic of how its been sitting for the last 2 years :(

hopefully before the end of the year it will be up in the shed and prep'ed for being finished

Well, if the granny shade would be black as they usually are from factory, I don't think it'd look all that busy. There's no junk on this car!

I'm not really getting your comment. the only add on's are the rear shade and tow bar. the body kit and wheels are stock ET gear and look quite good for factory "junk". i think the car is fairly neat. the rear louver is a bit storm trooperish but it's something different for an ET.
