that photo was taken the first week i got it.. since then the the tow bars been taken off and as i said the shade will be gone once the windows are tinted which should hopefully be soon when i take the windows out over summer to repaint but might turn it in to a small window/roof spoiler
not sure what other 'junk' on it though??

I was about to comment on the tow bar, but I almost guessed you already had taken it off.

Just meant it would look cleaner without the louvers
because the ET has the body kit and spoiler the added louvers are too much, lets just say im going with the whole less is more concept

and i never said its a bad looking car.

Small update.. moved the car up to the shed, im going to melbourne in a week so when i get back it all starts going to pull the old motor out gut the interior, fix the rust, sand down and paint :D

While its apart im going to look in to adding a few things like power mirrors, power windows and eliminated the stupid plastic clips that hold the window to the arms , tint the windows, do a custom gauge background few other bits n pieces lol

Yeh it will be off an astra only got the switch so far lol
as for the wiring its simple only 3 wires to each door, power and ground. I forgot the get the plug for the switch so when i grab it ill work out what colour does what

Anyone know of the inners of the motor can be swapped over from the manual to electric?? the wreckers i go to change a fortune for full electric mirrors and i was hoping you can change the insides over
either that or any one got a set of electric ones they want to sell?? lol

Nice one. I felt bad not selling you mine. I know mine is going to sit there for some time before it's built. But glad you found a schmick second motor. Where did you get it?

Clutch looks good... :D

Too bad about the flywheel. Didn't know lightened ones can literally explode!

Hey, you've got a 25M head right there! The same as my Mexico-built N/A has! This is the chance to find out the differences between the 15M and the 25M head, if you're going to take it off at some point. Gotta add it to the article about the head differences...

[EDIT: can't find the article anywhere. Has someone deleted it? The only thing I can find is a quote from it at this off-topic thread. Also found a thread where someone was asking for info about the 25M head.]

Late model E15 N/A N12:s, perhaps? At least that's where these are to be found in Europe.

Would be interesting to see if the valves are the same size as 15M and if the intakes are high- or low-swirl. The volume of the chambers would also be interesting to know. AFAIK the late model E15 N12 Cherries in Europe got a bit lowered compression to prevent pinging, I suspect Nissan did that by enlarging the combustion chamber slightly.

interesting...
hmm afaik we never really had a late model e15 as it was replaced with the e16 for unleaded in early 86
unless the 25 is the unleaded turbo head too?!
might have to do some snooping at the wreckers
didnt really have plans on taking the head off but if i do ill look in to the internal differences

just did a google search and came across this - http://www.nissanexa.com/showthread.php ... 2-head-25M hmm
