Ash's VL/T
Name: Ash mate
Location: Wangaratta VIC
Year/ Model: 1988
Colour: maroon
Period of ownership: 3 years
Performance: quite good actually
Engine Mods: forged pistons, ported head, bigger injectors, T3/T4 hi-flow, 600* 300* 75* intercooler, HD clutch of some kind? LSD, 3" exhaust.
Interior Mods: shitty boost gauge, Air/Fuel mixture meter, turbo timer.
Exterior Mods: half sanded back
Wheels: interceptors
Other:
Future Plans: T04Z, new intercooler, wilder cam and springs.
Pics: it's a VL
before i started fucking it (sanding it)
the cooler copped an ass raping as you can see,
it's current state,
this is a mates new toy car that we have been working on which has got me motivated to get the VL cracking again.
soon to have a T04Z strapped to it.
so far we we have only installed a fairly lumpy cam, bigger valve springs and double row timing chain. it also has a OTR (over the radiator) intake to go on, a high stall converter, a twin 3" straight through exhaust and a stage 2 shift kit. it already has Pacemaker extractors but as soon as it's turbo time they are gone.
SevPP/Glen, it's Matty's new drag rig

Interesting sanding job.. who's done that? whats their number i might have to give them a call
and while your at it, what do you call that tint on the VL (did i spell the name right?) is it +35? and is it like a dusty effect. Looks like real dust.
Not bad for a shitter
