A few minor updates..

This arvo I started making some fiberglass A pillars to house some tweeters for my splits. They're still a bit damp, but if they cure properly overnight, and don't need another coat, I'll be finishing them off tomorrow :)

Also, I got sick of my knee hitting the plug for my Garmin that's perminently plugged into the ciggy socket, so I found this neat second socket, with a volt gauge built in as well. I'm also going to get another one (without the gauge) and have it hidden under the dash, and use that for the Garmin, and keep this one free for the phone charger.
Needs another coat of paint as a bit chipped off while I was fitting it all up...
Image

Also, I re-routed the cable for my iPhone and made a neat little hole for it to poke thru...

During the week I'll hopefully have the tweeters all mounted and wiring ran, then I can make up another passenger door trim, fit speaker pods, and then I'll have a decent front stage :D

Cheers!

Spudley

Starting to look nice, can't wait to see the finished a-pillar covers!

That's a good place for an iPhone... too bad that the pocket in the console is covered with a seat heater switch panel on Northern European N12s... I have no good place for a phone in my car!

Shipping for a console wouldn't be much, would it?

so many lulz...

well i been really slack, and still haven't made my passenger door trim yet, or finished the passenger side pillar.. I've got til monday off now, so might do some work when i get a chance...

on another note, i picked up a cheap sony sub and box last night, and getting a small alpine 4ch amp off a mate, only til i can afford to do a full installation with a monoblock and 4ch amp and twin 12" subs..
All the wiring is already run in the car thanks to the previous owner, so it should all be pretty 'plug n play'...

still debating on which way to run the sub, might just be trial n error...

by the way, when i say cheap, i mean $71 off ebay.... not bad for a sub that was originally $250 in the box less than 12 months ago!

its rated at 1300w max, 380w rms, at 4 ohms.

cheers,
s.

have the sub fit in the box normally and fire towards the back of the car. Thats what i found best in my one when i used to have a stereo in it. Also, if you had it the way you do in the last pic, would it even seal? it doesnt look like the sub is designed to be mounted that way.

 heated seat? Have you got any pics of the switches? Are the heater elements any good?
