Looks like you've got a nasty cut in the dashboard. The gauge installation looks good though, nice work!

he said on a previous comment he turned his battery sideways.Ash wrote:sgs wrote:sorry to be a nag, but its not very good for your battery to have it side ways, the cells slam against each other when braking and accellerating.
your battery will be okay, it just will shorten its life
i seem to be missing something here?
The crap they feed us at school is that if you install your battery lenght ways its suppose to shorten the life of the battery. i'v seen cars with factory set ups with the battery installed in this way. its probly jst one of those many automotive myths, i think there is something to it, but it applys more to drag racing
r33 batterys are mounted sideways aren't they?..same as mine except their in the boot behind the false wall

yeah just like the compressor surge will fuck your turbo myth. works in theory but no hard real world evidence.sgs wrote:The crap they feed us at school is that if you install your battery lenght ways its suppose to shorten the life of the battery. i'v seen cars with factory set ups with the battery installed in this way. its probly jst one of those many automotive myths, i think there is something to it, but it applys more to drag racing
