Many years ago, a close M8 of mine started out with a Daihatsu Charade turbo. Brand new +800 bucks worth of wheels and tyres.
He owed 11 and a half large on it when he traded it on a frikken XC falcodore auto on the column. (Go figger this)
Lets just say a couple of years and a couple of backwards car trades down the track and and ended up with an old rusty Esky Panelvan with a blown motor and he still owed 8 and a half large from the original Charade loan.......................
He eventually learned from those mistakes!
You will learn from yours as most of the battle is owning up to them in the first place.
Keep going.

Look into importing from Japan. A mate of mine up here did, had to convert to RHD (cheap 318i donor works wonders), and all up cost him about 15K. Not bad for one of these beautiful creations.

EDIT: Sorry for going O.T.

im willing to hear anything never know what ill learn or ignore

after receving a message from ryan et i got a massive boost of insparation
so i went out in the cold and darkness worked by fluro

Image
the electric drill made thing easy
Image
while takin this photo i noticed a stain next to the cabin light didnt know it was there even tho id worked on the light b4

not sure what im going to do about it,was doin some planing last week and the roof didnt comin to it ,thought it was ok

can get a good roof lining of an et, but just a quick look and i dont think the rear will match coz of the window shape of the side windows

SUGGESTIONS?

i ll probly leave it for now even tho i dont want to

was surprised how quick things came out ( know itll take longer to put back together)
only downer here was i broke a few of thoses plastic clips that hold the plastic interior parts in
Image
Image
removing air con was easy to i should have done it long time ago as id started intercooler mods awhile ago and had already removed most of ithe parts was just to scared to touch the dash

i had to move the fuel filter to get at some parts of the air con,
that part would have been easier if the engine was out
Image
Image
Image
there wasnt much dirt under the carpet .ill tin the old carpet
new black carpet is only$150
not much left there wwwwwwhhhhhhhoooooo

coming along nicely in my books
Image
Image
the old mans 505 turbo also runs on canola oil
piece of shit im my books
has potential but itll never see it while my dads the owner
Image
and the combi rust repair on window spray

window fitment
buff
sell

SCAM THAT SPOT IN DA GARAGE
going to miss the combi, it will always have that holiday smell from the interior, and my old seat that was made out of wood by my grand father
to fit in between the two front seats childhood memories fading

i think ill go the panda look for this exa
was going to go baby blue with pin stripes

but the black and white thing is easy for me to do

was also going to use n13 exa seats but changing mind on that all the time lately
Image

when first starting to mod the pulsars i just wanted to see how many parts i could make fit from other models

do yous think its a good one? just asking

and what do youz think about using n13 exa arm rests

didnt get around to tryin that?

THANK FOR THE COMMENTS

dreams crushed

Post by triceone »

had dreams of doing the rwd conversion but was told my $20000 would go on just that so thats gonna have to wait ten years or so

mabe later i can do the work but for sure not now

also seriously thinking of going to tafe to learn car stuff

and i hate school

want to do as much work on this as i can

i dont really feel proud saying

i paid someone to do it

im going to arrange to get work experience in a tyre fitter
so that when the time comes i can select, fit, balance the tyres and do suspension ajustments myself

havent even planned on mag selection dont care at all and never really did

as long as i had something that was wider that stock i was happy

currently on 15'' aus car rims i got from FARK nissanexa.com

Can't go wrong on the Panda look. Have you tried doing some chops of it to see where you want to put the black?
Satin white top with bottom black gloss could be could look interesting.

Hey triceone

don't stress too much as there is a stock oil cooler at the back of the motor anyway.

Post by triceone »

thanks

heater core sounds right

as it came in a box of aircon parts i see it now lol

me happy chappy

picked up new deisel gemini sedan today and most of the parts owed

runs sweet as

all i need to do for turbo conversion is

flip the exhaust mani

and do normal shit like plumin and exhauts

as my dad would say EASY AS SHITIN IN BED

might just pull it of for less than $50

no engine mods needed haha ill use a spare t2, and im only after small boost the deisel needs it bad frigin slow as

got to pull over all the time to let people past

could have it boostin in three four days but cant start to busy

EXA comes first lol

engine out plus body moved out of shed to make room for gemi and turbo conversion attempt

only for a week

love the exa was able to move it around the yard by myself

had no engine hoist so had to drop engine and jack the body up

some reason it was really quick did everything but clean the shed in 2hrs

would post pics but camera fritzin grrr

only 3 hour more strippin then ill start the body work

want to do things so that i can paint two cars in the same weekend

the only major part ill need when i put it all back is an intercooler

ill pick one up just after i get the suspension parts 6 7 week hahaha

engine also goes on stand in a couple of days to get a tidy up

other bay related parts will slowly be prepared for sand blast

and coats of paint

THUMBS UP
