There are plenty more photos taken but the missus won't let me put them up unless they are edited and she is happy with them. The holes in the engine bay have been removed and few other little things.

That studio pic of your car is awesome. It looks like it's in the car selection screen for Gran Turismo or something.

<UPDATE 2/07/07>
Small update with my car. I have fixed all exhaust leaks on the manifold. Its spooling much better and is a lot quieter. I went to pickapart to find a Ford XF Idle valve. Couldn't find one but they had two EXA's there (one was non turbo EFI but the Intake was already gone). I did however find a good gearchange connector with good bushes. So i paid $10 for that and installed it on sunday. WOW much better. Bugger all freeplay where before it was terrible. Got an idle valve from another wreckers ($45later). So i'll install that another time.

Main problem i have now is a noise (suspect gearbox output bearing). Its a 'whirring' kinda sound that is speed dependent but doesn't change with gears, clutch or if in neutral or not. It could be the front left wheel bearing again though. Although when i corner the sound doesn't change either. Been doing it for around 3 months now and hasn't gotten worse or better (suddenly started too).

I'm getting married in 3 months so i've been spending a lot on the wedding etc. After that i have permission from the soon to be wife i can get some slicks and get the car tuned. I'll be aiming for 220hp as is (hopefully under 20psi of boost) which should give me 110mph and eventually a 12second timeslip.

Car's back on the road today. Changed all the bearings. The gearbox shifts and sounds very smooth. I also put a flexi on the exhaust although its still vibrating on the rear sway bar. I'll fix that another time.

Feels so fast mainly because i've been driving around an ae86 rolla.
I'm going to book in for a tune with more boost.

Good to hear it's back on the road, is the exhaust manifold that has been changed since the last tune or is there more?

Since last tune its got the t28 (t25g before), exhaust manifold, split dump pipe and 3" exhaust. I had a 3inch dump pipe into a 2.5inch exhaust before.

I'm going to get a modified trigger disk and get it tuned in sequential mode.

I did a bit of work on the car lately. Made up a new intake pipe out of stainless to the pod to reduce intake temps. I still want to put it in a box to quieten it down a bit. Today i pulled the intake manifold off, cleaned it all out with degreaser and put all new gaskets in it. I also installed a SARD FPR because i suspected the stock one was worn out. Well it must have been because the car idles and drives much much smoother, so i'm pretty happy with that.

Its booked in for a dyno tune for big boost (hopefully 20psi) on jan 15th. I just need to get a new TPS by then and a wheel alignment. Everything else is pretty sweet. So if the tuning goes well and i can get some slicks i should be at the drags late jan/early feb.

I've got a bet with a mate who doesn't think my car could ever run a 12sec. I have until may to do it (only $20 bet but still). I'm pretty confident it can.

Anyone want to guess how much power it'll make on tuesday (15th Jan)?
That's if nothing breaks or we don't have any problems (touch wood).

It made 176hp @12psi two years ago. Old dyno graph is in this thread somewhere. It's on a different dyno this time but from what i can gather they are pretty close (both dyno dyamics and both shootout accredited workshops)

Since last tune it has a Roller Bearing T28 (from t25g which had bad oil seals), my own steam pipe exhaust manifold and a split dump pipe into 3" exhaust all the way (probably only a slight improvement over the old exhaust). It should be running sequential injection this time (going to get them to install and setup the new chopper disc) which hopefully will improve low end torque and fuel economy slightly. I told the dyno I would like it tuned at 20psi. The wolf can only read up to 22psi so i would like 2psi of headroom for boost spikes etc. It should rev out to 7500rpm.

Personally i will be happy with 210-220hp.
